Pegasus News Mobile Edition & iPhone Application
(back to top)
On Friday July, Apple rolled out a more efficient and more cost-effective verson of the iPhone and substantially upgraded its software in clude GPS feature. The iPhone 3G went on sales in DFW with an overwhelming response, as eager huyers lined up outside of Apple and AT&T stores all over town. Pegasus News anticipated the release of the new phone and created data-driven, Apple-approved local application specifically for Dallas / Fort Worth customers.
You now have an opportunity to capture that audience and literally drive traffic into your store with Pegasus News' GPS-based iPhone application. Imagine someone doing a search that is categorically lined up with your business: They not only get a live map with directions to your location but they also get information about what specials you're having and your hours of operation. We have thousands of daily events and places in our daily-updated databse, but when our users are searching, the closest advertisers come out on top.
To maximize usership of the service we have made the application free to all users.
Why is Mobile a Good Fit For Your Business?
Answer the following questions...
- Do I want to spend less and reach more than with traditional media?
- Is my current advertising reaching the right people at the right time?
- Do I want my business to stand out from the crowd?
- Is my business in need of targeting those within a specific distance from my location?
- Does the average mobile user look like someone that fits my ideal customer profile?
- Do I want to direct people to my location(s) via GPS?
- Do I have a special I want to push to people who are driving past my store in the next ten minutes?
Application Sponsorship
Your business would own real estate on the application face. Your logo would be static and would link to a mobile-optimized location of your choice that can include key information, specials, photos and even video. If you don't have something already, we can build it for you.
Search Results Sponsorship
When a user searches any of the fields on the application, there is a display position on the bottom of the search results page. This is a display advertising position that links to a mobile friendly page the Pegasus News creates in the application with features such as click to call, click on a specific offer, or a click to a special element that we can create for you.
Application Search Optimization
When a user of the application is searching one or more of the categories using Pegasus News' application, your business would be a featured result, highlighted at the top of the page with all of the information and features necessary for a customer to reach or visit you. It's like your business having a valet for your customers that guides them from the street right into the parking lot.
