Growing up in a family full of musical talent, Aaron Sandoval followed his father's example and picked up a guitar. At age 16, Aaron’s grandfather died. Not knowing how to deal with the pain of losing a loved one, he began teaching himself to play.
While on stage, Sandoval likes to take things into what he calls “VH1 storytelling mode," interacting with the audience and doing improv songs.

West Fest Polka Festival Westfest kicks off the weekend Friday evening with the Miss Westfest Contest. Gates to the fairground (in West, Texas, south on I-35 just beyond Hillsboro) open at 5:30 p.m., and you can hang out touring the food booths until the 12:30 a.m. closing. If there was ever a place to do your "wurst," this is it. And don't forget kolaches for dessert. More info
