Annie Benjamin is a veteran of the live music scene in Texas with two decades of performances to her credit. She is known for her high energy flute licks, her vocal ability to go from "0 to 180" in the blink of an eye and a unique picking style on her guitar. Her lyrics can be irreverant and silly one minute, poignantly homespun the next.
In January of 2001, she released her debut album Life's Blessings, a mix of country, jazz, folk and gospel traditions. Upon hearing her song "Wildflowers," the British producer Alex Von Soos said, "It's very moving and powerful. I've had a lot of commercial success but I don't think I've written anything that good yet." Singer-songwriter Susan Werner described Annie's vocals as "Janis Joplin meets Edith Piaf." Rockzilla, the online reviewer of Texas & Americana music, says that "after listening to Life's Blessings, you'll feel like a better person - and you probably will be."
Her song "Mudflap Girl" was featured on NPR's Car Talk. Her CD is now getting airplay on various stations in the U.S. and in Europe. She frequently performs in schools and churches, is involved with numerous charities, and performs with Rahim Quazi.

Karaoke Oh yeah, you know you wanna belt it out like you're alone in the car. The microphone beckons. What else do you have to do on a Monday night? I mean besides watching football? If this is a bit far from your neighborhood, don't worry. There is a karaoke machine near you just waiting. More info
