Behan gives traditional Irish pub singing tunes "a rousing, kicked-up spin." This "Wall of MaleVoice Quintet" is made up of brothers Bernard "Barney" (guitar & mandolin), Michael (pennywhistle, concertina & fiddle), and Joseph (bodhran & harmonica) Behan along with brother-in-law Joe Morris (bodhran & snare) and grade school buddy Russ George (guitar & bodhran).
Information from the band's site
Musicians
- Bernard "Barney" Behan: guitar, mandolin, vocals
- Michael Behan: concertina, fiddle, vocals, whistle
- Joseph Behan: bodhran, harmonica, vocals
- Joe Morris: bodhran, drums, vocals
- Russ George: bodhran, guitar, vocals
Influences
The Clancy Brothers, The Dubliners, The Irish Rovers, DFW's own Irish Rogues, Bing Crosby and daddy Behan's predilection to inundate their young ears with the jigs reels and barndances of the 78 player variety. Somehow the punk music scene, liturgical music and the Arlington Drum and Bugle corp factor in as well.

Plan on a rollickin' whizzbang kind of night when Behan is on stage. Their love of music, genuine good humor, and appreciation of the crowd are only part of what makes an evening listening to them special. From IRA songs of the Rebellion, to lilting dance tunes, to gentle ballads that tug at the heart, to songs of " The Troubles" they are a piece of the Spirit and Heart of the Gael. Echoes of the styles made famous by groups like the Chieftans,Tommy Makem, and the Irish Rovers are re-woven into contemporary renditions. Hoist up a pint of your favorite brew, hug your significant other and sing along. (They even distribute song sheets to those so inclined to join in.) It doesn't get any better than this if your heart yearns for the green hills of Ireland, lamb stew, soda bread, and Guinness.
