Butterknife was formed in March of 2003 by musicians Steven K. Wilson, Jonathan Pool, Jeffrey M. Williams, and Adam Hickman. The band is now on its fourth lineup replacing Williams and Hickman with guitarist Aaron Bartz. Despite changing faces, the band has maintained its personality and approach to the music.
