Born in Dallas, TX, Chris started playing guitar at the age of 12 and immediately gravitated to the sound of musicians like Magic Sam, T-Bone Walker and Albert King. With the enormous amount of talent in Dallas, including Jim Suhler, Anson Funderburgh and Mike Morgan, to name a few, Chris quickly attended blues jam and started learning firsthand from the best Texas had to offer.
In 2000, Chris worked alongside Mike Morgan as one of the members of the Crawl, even recording alongside Mike on the Live In Dallas CD by Severn Recording. During his 4 years with Mike Morgan, Chris received plenty of exposure. Mike gave him the platform to learn and hone his guitar skills as well as his stage presence.
After Chris came back from a European tour with Mike Morgan, he decided it was time to venture out on his own. With Mike's full support and encouragement, Chris started working on his own album. After recording 11 songs in Austin under the guidance of veteran producer Billy Horton, Chris was ready to make his move. Texas Cantina debuted under Pacific Blues Recording's guidance and received airplay on many radio stations around the world. Chris subsequently recorded a second album, Hotel Texas.
Chris's fan base is still growing and a lot of musicians, such as Kid Ramos, Junior Watson and Mike Morgan, have high hopes for him. Although Chris has ventured out on his own, he still sometimes plays with Mike Morgan.
