Don grew up primarily in Fort Worth and now lives in Burleson, Texas. Several years ago, he played Texas honky tonks with his band, The Cowtown Posse.

After taking time off to get married and raise a family, he was recently inspired to start writing songs again after the tragedies of September 11, 2001. The tribute song, "Fallen From The Trees" is about the New York World Trade Center flights. It was written by Don just four days after 9/11 and recorded within a week of the tragedies.

After encouragement from his family and friends, Don has since joined several songwriters associations and continues to record new music as a solo artist.
