Donny Ray Ford looks as if he stepped out of a Wild West, Remington or Russell painting. (His favorite sport is long distance precision shooting.) He's played in a number of bands over the years: Taco Fuentes and the Mexicans, The Silver Spurs, Tex and The Saddle Tramps, The Texas Twisters, Teddy and The Tall Tops, Donny Ray and The Honky Tonkers, Liberty Valance, The Cartwrights, The Mutineers, Kevin Deal and Full Metal Racket.

His current outfit is with his band, The Widowmakers.
