Eight Arms To Hold You

Genres: Cover and Tribute Bands, Pop, Rock

Sound description: Beatles tribute band

RIYL: The Beatles and Rock 'n' Roll!!

Formed: 2003

City: Dallas, TX

Eight Arms To Hold You has been playing together since 2003. The band maintains extreme loyalty to the style The Beatles brought to the stage during their tours in the mid-‘60s and on the rooftop in 1970. Rather than following the exact nature of The Beatles’ albums and performing songs as they sounded in the studio, the band attempts to recreate what you probably would’ve heard live in the early years, as well as in the later ‘60s had The Beatles actually played live shows during those years.

The band plays all of The Beatles' songs. However, while they do follow the early rock 'n' roll as The Beatles would have played those songs live, they mix an authentic vocal and instrumental sound with a lot more edge on some of the later hits. In addition, the band is trying to add more and more original material to the mix as time goes on.

Justa note to anyone trying to come to Beatles Sundays the next couple of weeks... I just found out yesterday, that Club Dada has booked other acts during our timeslot until Mar. 11th. I know of 3 of the 4 Sundays, which are a Bob Marley Birthday Bash next weekend, the Mile High competition the weekend after that (Sat. and Sun.), and then Hard Night's Day is playing Beatles Sundays on Feb. 25th... I just heard yesterday, I'm as shocked as everyone else that we didn't already know. And, I do not know what's going on the weekend after that, and frankly I don't care either! I just want get going again on the 11th! Hope to see you all there! :)
