Grant Wiscour didn’t start his musical career at an early age, but he was always a big fan of country music and Texas country music. However, since forming the Infidels in 2004, he has made up for lost time. The Infidels are quick to point out that the name "Infidel" is not a moniker for "God Hater" or any other agnostic doctrine or belief. The guys say they just got tired of folks overseas calling Americans "Infidels" and the name stuck.

At the KHYI 95.3 Shiner Rising Star Competition in 2005, Austin Cunningham had one thing to say about the Infidels..."HARDCORE." Always straight forward and to the point, the Infidels represent the hard-driving outlaw country trend from the 1970s that focused on Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, David Allan Coe, and Willie Nelson. This defines Grant Wiscour and the Infidels, who resent what Nashville tried to do to their musical heroes. Without question, the Infidels are a band with attitude, hell-bent on having a good time while performing great music.
