Hung Gibson is an acoustic trio featuring members of the Dallas-based jam band A Partial Freakout (APF). The band developed in the summer of 2007 when members of APF were given a Sunday night artist residency at the Lakewood Bar & Grill. They began by playing classic rock and roll, soul, R&B, and country songs that they had always wanted to perform live (The Rolling Stones' "Midnight Rambler," Otis Redding's "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay," Prince's "When Doves Cry," and Jerry Jeff Walker's "Redneck Mother" to name a few). The residency also gave the band a chance to perform original APF songs acoustically ("On the Corner," "On That Road") and to compose original songs of their own ("Lazy Bones," "I Don't Know").
