RIYL: Face to Face, Millencolin, NOFX, Green Day, Blink 182
Formed: 1996
City: Dallas, TX

With music comparable to the likes of Blink-182, NOFX, Face to Face, and Goldfinger, this punk quartet has been creating fun, mature, aggressive, catchy, and extremely tight tunes since 1996. Their influences (ranging from The Descendents to 311 to The Ramones to countless others) have driven them into making music appreciated by people of all ages and backgrounds.
Hailing from the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, the band has been hitting the scene with its explosive live performances since early 1998, playing in every major bar and venue in the area including a slot in the Dallas stop of the Vans Warped Tour in the summer of 2000. Their music has been featured on two commercial radio stations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and they have managed to spread their adolescent wisdom all across the region while sharing the stage with national acts like Baboon, Bowling For Soup, The Reverand Horton Heat, Union 13, Pistolgrip and The Distillers.
With the success of their debut EP, My Green Heaven, in June of 2000 (which sold over 1000 copies locally alone), the Immigrants sought out guitarist Chris Ortiz in 2001. With the addition of Chris and a recording contract with Arlington based Twin Buddha Records, the future looks bright for the band.
