The duality of Jam Sandwich is is more than just "very interesting". "Being both a cover band and an original band, has opened up unique oppurtunities for us," says bassist Tommy Tucker.

The members of Jam Sandwich are highly skilled producers, engineers, arrangers, songwriters and musicians. They are very oriented to audience participation. The boys in the band believe, "If you're sittin' still, we're not doing our job".

West Fest Polka Festival Westfest kicks off the weekend Friday evening with the Miss Westfest Contest. Gates to the fairground (in West, Texas, south on I-35 just beyond Hillsboro) open at 5:30 p.m., and you can hang out touring the food booths until the 12:30 a.m. closing. If there was ever a place to do your "wurst," this is it. And don't forget kolaches for dessert. More info
