Sound description: Hook-laden ambient pop tunes

City: Fort Worth, TX

Born in Orange County, California, Jess Romigh has traveled many roads that led to the current one as a solo artist. Through his unique blend of music, he sings of life's dreams, triumphs and tragedies in a confident yet intimate vocal style. His soulful delivery is marked by a subtlety that is at times ethereal. Laced with pop sensibility, a modern edge and southern flare, his lyrical expressions weave passionate stories through memorable, timeless songs.

Jess formerly played in Milkshake, an eight member funk and roll band complete with DJ and horn players. Milkshake was formed in Dallas, Texas, but then migrated to Portland, Oregon, where the released the independent CD, Quiver, on J-Bird Records.

After the breakup of Milkshake, Jess continued to write songs and eventually decided to go solo, but not exactly solo. There are quite a few talented musicians that grace the stage and recordings with Jess, hence the name, Jess Romigh & the Collective. They are a group of individually talented musicians that help carry the weight but who also pursue their own musical endeavors.
