The Mood Swings would like everyone to know that none of them are Merry and they do not have mood swings. And we'll personally tongue lash anyone who says different! Rocking out is what we do while other women our age are kicking it with the Junior League or having their nails done. We're middle-aged women with guitars and proud of it!

West Fest Polka Festival Westfest kicks off the the weekend on Friday evening with the Miss Westfest Contest. Gates to the fairground (in West, Texas, south on I-35 just beyond Hillsboro) open at 5:30 p.m., and you can hang out touring the food booths until closing time at 12:30 a.m. If there was ever a place to do your "wurst," this is it, folks!
