As a performer, Montrose created a local buzz and loyal fan base performing with his band as the opening act for the Dallas leg of the MP3 National Music Tour, and was a featured artist at the North Texas New Music Festival. His monthly acoustic performances are a popular draw at Standard and Pours Coffee, Dallas' premier singer/songwriter venue. He has also performed at the Hard Rock Cafe and a variety of clubs, festivals, and coffeehouses in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
