One Voice is a vocal quartet with a unique blend of acappella music. Formed in 1997, One Voice began as a gospel quartet and has performed for many churches and civic organizations. Since most of the members were avid barber shoppers, the barbershop style quickly influenced their sound. They now sing a variety of music that includes comedy and patriotic. All of the members of One Voice currently sing with the Town North Plano Men of Note Chorus.

Dennis Thompson sings lead. He is the newest member of One Voice, joining the quartet in 2002. Dennis is a prolific writer and arranger of music, and plays trombone with the Carrollton Community Band.

Mike Swayne is the tenor, and is the group's sound technician. Mike's musical roots reach all the way to the Stamps / Baxter quartet, where his great uncle was a member. Mike began singing barbershop in 1996.

Roger Daw sings baritone, the most difficult part in a barbershop quartet. Roger joined One Voice in 1999 when the original baritone was transferred. Roger began his musical career as a trombone player.

Greg Hargis is the bass. He has been singing barbershop since 1988, and has sung with many quartets and barbershop choruses. Greg is also a magician, and often adds a little magic to One Voice performances.

West Fest Polka Festival Westfest kicks off the weekend Friday evening with the Miss Westfest Contest. Gates to the fairground (in West, Texas, south on I-35 just beyond Hillsboro) open at 5:30 p.m., and you can hang out touring the food booths until the 12:30 a.m. closing. If there was ever a place to do your "wurst," this is it. And don't forget kolaches for dessert. More info
