Rising from the ashes of Deadringer (a band lasting 8 years), Marlin Adams and Mark LaVarnway formed Souldoubt in 1999 along with Steve Little and Tom Zaiko. Shortly thereafter, keyboardist Herb Houston was added to the band to round out the sound. Local interest with club owners was immediate. The band enjoyed steady gigs for the better part of the next 4 years.
In 2004, Tom Zaiko left Souldoubt to pursue other interests and was replaced by Scott Stewert on the kit. Scott brought much needed power and dynamics to the band along with a vibrant stage personality. Also, 2004 saw the joining of vocalist Liz Foster to the line-up, adding another dimension to the bands vocals and harmonies. Alas it is the nature of all musicians to grow and stretch, and in 2005 both Herb Houston and Scott Stewert departed from the Souldoubt family, soon to be followed by Liz Foster. After a brief lull Mark, Marlin and Steve added Pete Pravattoni on drums and Jen Rivera on vocals.
