After started in late 2002, Spur 503 went through numerous lead guitar players over an 8 month span before settling on Eric Mayfield, who then pursuaded Josh Long to sign on. The band has shared billing with nearly every major artist in the Texas Country/Red Dirt Scene over the past 2-3 years.
