During a brief stint at the University of Texas in Austin, Ross Vick began performing with sister Karen in their acoustic rock group E-Heart Land and Cattle Company. The group played throughout central Texas and was featured at the Texas Folklife Festival in San Antonio for several years. Ross eventually made his way from Nashville to Los Angeles and back home to Texas, where he formed the nucleus of what is now TrueHeart with his sister Karen and brother Patrick.
They renewed their affair with the Folklife Festival while playing around the Dallas area before turning their attention full time to running a successful sales and marketing firm. When in 2003 the certain promise of a good time recording with former band mates Jeff Howe and Sam Swank was too much to pass on, Ross invited Pat and Karen to renew their unique vocal stylings on their first CD One By One. Indeed it was too much fun and the three siblings turned their attention full time to recording and performing their original music.
Their follow up CD, What is Mine, was released in 2004 and was co-produced by Grammy Winner, Phil York. Their third CD in as many years, TrueHeart, was released in July 2005. Ross continues to write, record and perform with TrueHeart and collaborates with Phil on a variety of projects, the most recent of which, a Tribute to Rudolph Valentino, is receiving rave reviews.
