Velvet Love Box features three veteran musicians from the North Texas area. The band formed at Bronco’s Sports Bar, where they still perform every Thursday night. Over the years, they have blurred the line between “cover” and “original,” creating a niche for themselves. In early 2002, the band recorded their first EP, Pilot, for Texas indie label Aaron Ave. Records.
The group has been the house band for the Dallas Stars Hockey team since 2000, and in 2004 and 2005 was voted Best Cover Band by the readers of Fort Worth Weekly.
