8-foot gator in Lake Arlington?

Gotten word there were a couple of sightings of an 8-foot-long member of the Order Crocodilia swimming in Lake Arlington two days ago. Apparently, Animal Services of Arlington investigated. Not sure what they found yet. I put in a call and a woman said a lot of people were in a meeting at the time but that someone would get back. I wonder what a city animal services meeting would be like? Probably not that thrilling, but I have to admit I was curious after the lady said that. In the meantime, don't go swimming in Lake Arlington any time soon for a number of reasons, but one being that there may or may not be this thing lurking:

If he answers to the name "Gustave," then folks living around the lake had best just pack up and leave.

"Gotten word" Come on, what kind of writers does this "news" site have?

That's all I know, bored. Feel free to contribute more. I called over to Arlington and told you what I was told. The question mark in the headline adds that special "I Don't Know" quality to the language. Perhaps you've studied grammar at some point?

Attention, class. Anyone criticizing grammar and/or punctuation will have to provide a sentence diagram to substantiate said criticism.

I will be happy to challenge any self-appointed grammar czar around here for the title.

It's academic, in any case: by the time this weekend's over, we'll be referring to the poor creature as a gatorsicle.
