Some of us were talking the other day about how this week has been a lot of (stressful) fun -- that we felt like a start-up all over again. A big part of that is the new mobile gizmos (more on that later this evening).
To make that happen in sync with the 3G iPhone launch, we kicked a lot of projects to the side and took a leap by quickly moving to our own servers to better handle the load created by mobile and our growing traffic on the main site.
Moving servers often means that you're lost in the shuffle for anywhere from an hour to a few days while the Interwebs learn that your domain name points to a new set of digits. Brett found a really clever way to cheat that so we were only down for mere minutes. (Seriously, non-geeks have no idea how amazing that is. Trust me, it was huge.)
However, we've gotten some reports that users of The Daily You are getting week-old stories instead of the latest stuff. Sigh-- part of the start-up ethos is that things break. We're thinking it has something to do with the server move, and we're working on it. Bear with us, or in the meantime, if you want less-targeted, but more current story lists, you could log out and read as an unregistered user while we suss out the problem.
We'll get things back in order ASAP...
UPDATE: Fixed late this afternoon. For those who care about such things, we hadn't copied the DY info to our multiple new servers, so it was botching for 2/3 users. Log back in and resume your customized local life.

Can't believe you're suggesting we not read the site under our registered usernames, Miko.
