Description

To mark the opening of The Impressionists: Master Paintings from the Art Institute of Chicago, the Kimbell will bring together a panel of scholars engaged in research on artists and themes represented in the exhibition. As this engrossing day of lectures and discussion will reveal, the works of the great Impressionist and Post-Impressionist painters are not only pleasing to the eye but also abundantly suggestive of thoughts and ideas. Despite the huge amount of attention and commentary they have attracted over the years, they continue to inspire new interpretations by some of the world's most gifted art historians. Click here to see a schedule and list of speakers.

Priority admission will be reserved for Kimbell members upon presentation of a current membership card at least 20 minutes prior to the beginning of the program.
