The RSO continues its 2008-2009 season with "An American Celebration." This concert features William Schuman's rambunctious "American Festival Overture" as well as the Dallas-area premiere of Benjamin Lee's "Concerto for Oboe" with RSO principal oboist Kelli Short performing. The concert also features piano works by two of America's most popular composers: George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" and Leroy Anderson's "Piano Concerto in C."
