Mummies, magic, and moonlight—celebrate the exhibition Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs and enjoy concerts, performances, and fun family experiences. Stay late for an outdoor Mummy Movie Marathon, open mic, and more.

6:00–7:00 p.m., Atrium Enjoy Middle Eastern jazz performed by American Bedouin featuring Buddy Mohamed.

Listen to readings of ancient Egyptian myths and stories, including excerpts from the Egyptian Book of the Dead, performed by Lydia Mackay.

Late Night Main Stage featuring The Blue Nile Project

Late Night After Hours with Rania and Atash

Play the classic Egyptian games Senet and Hounds and Jackals or modern card games like Mummy Rummy.

Showdown at the Materials Bar

9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., Center for Creative Connections

With a spin of the inspiration wheel and a few minutes on the clock, compete against each other to determine who is most creative under pressure.

Late Night Art Bytes

9:30 –10:30 p.m., Tech Lab, Center for Creative Connections

View audio, video, and digital works that fuse together art and technology. Art Bytes is a forum for tech savvy creators to share their work with peers and the community. Each presenter receives 8 minutes to show their work and engage in a short question and answer session. Finished works, in-progress works, and creators of all ages are welcome!

Late Night Open Mic

10:30–11:30 p.m., Theater, Center for Creative Connections

Hear Dallas's hottest poets or share some of your own verses. Hosted by Tisha Crear of Reciprocity. Readings might contain adult themes and language. Spoken word performances only; no instruments allowed.

Outdoor Mummy Movie Marathon

Bring your blankets and enjoy mummy movies outside on the Museum’s Ross Avenue Plaza. Fall treats will be available for purchase.

Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy

Celebrate the exhibition Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs with one of Hollywood’s silliest duos as they fend off crooks, cobras, and a mummy in this family classic. This film is not rated (79 minutes).

The Mummy

After a foolish explorer reads aloud from a sacred book, a mummy awakens after 3,000 years to search for his long-lost love. Boris Karloff stars in this horror classic. This film is not rated (72 minutes).

In the event of inclement weather, movie screenings will take place in Horchow Auditorium.

Dr. Anne Bromberg, The Cecil and Ida Green Curator of Ancient and Asian Art, will discuss ancient Egyptian mummies and the real and imagined magical powers they are believed to possess.

Insomniac Tour

Tour the collections until the wee hours with the Dallas Museum of Art's resident night owl, Director Bonnie Pitman.

Bedtime Stories with Arturo
