At its upcoming meeting on August 21st, the Frisco City Council will consider an ordinance that would extend drinking hours within the city.
The ordinance, item #17 and #18 on the meeting's agenda, reads as follows:
17. Consider and act upon adoption of an Ordinance authorizing the sale of alcoholic beverages by holders of a Mixed Beverage Late Hours Permit until 2 a.m. on any day.
18. Consider and act upon calling an election of the voters of the City of Frisco to adopt or reject the proposed Late Night Ordinance that authorizes the sale of alcoholic beverages by holders of a Mixed Beverage Late Hours Permit until 2 a.m. on any day.
Click here for directions to the meeting, though you'll probably need to call a cab home afterwards.

Drunken zombies and other undead will now roam the streets if they push last call to 2am! At least, that's what they think will happen in Lewisville in a similar situation.

I wasn't aware Frisco closed up at midnight. But do they even have any bars?
(Applebee's is not a bar. I've seen people who go to Applebee's and treat it as a bar. I am truly sorry for their lots.)

Pavel, I wholehearted agree with your assessment of Applebee's, hence the sarcasm in my initial comment.

They'll need to be able to drink until 2am once they find out they lost their job at Countrywide and they can't sell their house because no one can qualify for a mortgage.

The ordinance passed! There are a couple of bars in Frisco, not much to do especially if you are a single parent...
