Lawn-obsessed suburbanites in McKinney and Frisco get their way

— The town of McKinney tried its best to maintain water restrictions but finally gave in, joining Frisco in a loosening of the policy that'll allow residents to water their lawns two days a week, and wash their cars.

The policy says you still can't water between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. -- which, uh huh, I'm sure that rule will be followed. McKinney's new policy starts in about a week; Frisco's starts in July.

What is the purpose of having a water district then? If they can't force cities to comply, why have the district?

Sachse becomes the latest city to give in and release restrictions. Not that they ever gave any tickets out to any of my neighbors in the first place....
