Mesquite Symphony Orchestra presents Music of the Season featuring the soprano soloist Deanna Sarkar

On December 15, at 5:30 and 8:00 p.m., the Mesquite Symphony Orchestra will continue its 21st season with its annual holiday presentation, Music of the Season. These concerts will feature Soprano Deanna Sarkar singing "Laudate Dominum" by Mozart, "O Holy Night" by Adam, "Ave Maria" by J.S. Bach arranged by Gounod, "In the Bleak Midwinter" by Holst, The traditional Austrian carol "Still, Still Still," and Mel Torme’s enduring "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire."
In addition the MSO will perform Claude Smith’s "Rhapsody on Christmas Carols," Leroy Anderson’s "Christmas Festival," and Alfred Reed’s "Russian Christmas Music" plus there will be two audience sing-a-longs of both popular and traditional holiday music. At the 8:00 p.m. performance, there will be an introduction of the 2007-2008 Mesquite Symphony Guild Debutantes.
Hear the Mesquite Symphony Orchestra perform in the Concert Hall of the Mesquite Arts Center, hailed as one of the very best listening spaces in the metroplex. The first performance begins at 5:30. The box office opens at 4:30 p.m. and tickets for the Mesquite Symphony Orchestra performances are $12.00 Adults, $8.00 Seniors, and $6.00 Students. Members of the Mesquite Symphony Orchestra Association and Mesquite Symphony Guild receive complementary tickets based on their membership level.
