Lockheed Martin will hold their 4th Annual Employment Symposium on Thursday, October 30, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel Arlington. The symposium is entitled Better Your Bottom Line: Employer Access to People with Disabilities and is hosted by Easter Seals North Texas and the Manufacturers Association of North Texas (MANT).

This event began in 2005 as a means of increasing awareness and educating local employers about the importance and many benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities. Join more than 200 North Texas HR professionals, hiring managers, business owners, and corporate executives to learn more about the benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities. Learn how to attract this untapped, qualified pool of potential employees. Highlights include:

• Work Opportunity Tax Credits

• Updates to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

• Legal panel on hiring practices & accommodations

• Sessions covering service, retail, hospitality, and manufacturing and logistics industries

• Integrating people with disabilities into your diversity program

• Expert direction on how and where to get started

Also, this year, all attendees will have the special opportunity to attend the annual employment awards ceremony for the Governor’s Committee for People with Disabilities, which will be held as a part of the lunch session.

Individual tickets are $50. Tables are $300. Corporate sponsorships start at $500. Exhibitor’s tables are $250 with two tickets to the event.
