Nine-mile stretch of 121 to open Sunday

Email Print Tell us your story Comment

Going from Plano to Coppell (or vice versa) on State Highway 121 will be a little easier, but a lot costlier come Sunday when a nine-mile stretch between Old Denton Road in Denton County and just east of Hillcrest Road in Collin County opens to the public. Officials anticipate that the time to travel between Coppell and Plano (including the already open seven-mile stretch from I-35) will take about 17-20 minutes, but it'll also cost you $2.11 if you have a TollTag or $3.06 if you don't. But don't worry -- you won't have to carry any cash since the tolls are "conveniently" collected via the ZipCash system.
