DALLAS The Dallas Independent School District will conduct a thorough, independent review of the district’s high school’s existing policies, practices and procedures with regard to athletic eligibility, certification and monitoring.
“This review will strengthen the district’s athletic eligibility policies and procedures and will ensure that staff knows and follows them with integrity,” said Superintendent of Schools Michael Hinojosa.
Dallas ISD has engaged Mike Glazier and his firm Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC in Overland Park, Kansas, to direct and conduct the independent review.
Glazier leads Bond, Shoeneck’s College Sports Practice Group, the nation’s premier law practice group in the representation of colleges, universities and athletics conferences in NCAA Rules compliance, eligibility and infractions matters.
Glazier and his team will examine the existing Dallas ISD high school athletic eligibility policies, procedures and practices. Upon completion, Glazier and his team will issue recommendations for enhancements to the policies, procedures and practices designed to create a “best practices” model for implementation throughout the district.

When I was in high school, if you got below a certain GPA or grade in a class, you were on suspension from playing sports until it was taken care of. Pretty cut and dry.

Dallas gave up the basketball title to make sure there was no (more) negative publicity before their next bond package. Did anyone hear of any "findings" from an "investigation" into the alleged incidents at SOC High School? I haven't.
