— BKM Total Office of Texas, a Dallas-based steelcase dealer, awarded a new $1500 scholarship for Tarrant County College students during its annual higher education symposium June 25 in Dallas.

The amount will cover the entire cost of tuition for two semesters for 2008 recipient Aaron Martinez, a Northeast Campus student majoring in marketing and psychology. The scholarship is funded by BKM’s education initiative and is distributed through the TCC Foundation.

“With the increasing costs of higher education, it is imperative for businesses, communities and others to support the needs of campuses to enable students to have the best opportunities to succeed,” said BKM Senior Account Manager Clark Rachesky.

BKM, a woman-owned minority and HUB certified business, has contributed more than $10,000 in scholarships to higher education through its education symposium during the last two and a half years.
