Live Dallas iMedia program features arts leaders’ discussion on state of the arts in Dallas

DALLAS — What do you know about the arts community and its offerings in Dallas? Are we a “world-class” arts community with an upscale Arts District with everything that any cultural icon would love to experience? Or, are we lagging behind in involving all segments of the community in the wonderful world of the cultural arts? Arts leaders and advocates will talk about the economic impact of the arts in Dallas and how our city compares to other cities around the nation and the world in a special live “iN Dallas” episode on Dallas iMedia Network Monday, June 16 at 2:00 p.m.
Curtis King from the Black Academy of Arts and Letters, Jac Alder from Theatre Three, Charles Santos from TITAS, visual artist Viola Del Gado, Dallas Cultural Affairs Commission Chair Judy Pollock, Joanna St. Angelo from the Sammons Center for the Arts, Kirsten Brandt James from Junior Players, Cora Cardona from Teatro Dallas, Thea Temple from Writers Garrett, Kim Campbell from Dallas Wind Symphony, Lisa Schreiner from Dallas Children’s Theater and Bart Weiss from Video Association of Dallas are confirmed to participate in the discussion. The program will be moderated by Dallas iMedia Network President/CEO Lisa Hembry.
The hour-long “iN Dallas” program may be viewed on Dallas iMedia cable channel 95 available on Time Warner Cable; channel 44 on the Verizon Fios system, and through streaming delivery on www.dallasimedia.net. An encore showing of the program may be viewed on Dallas iMedia Network Monday night at 9:00 p.m.
