Late-breaking National Night Out news from Glenn Heights Interim City Manager/Chief of Police Phillip Mark Prasifka:
Community Park, where the National Night Out get-together was going to be held (on the evening of Tues., Oct. 7) - got too dang wet as a result of Monday's rains. So the event is being moved to Red Oak Intermediate School at 401 E. Ovilla Rd., where the big know-your-neighbors whing ding can be celebrated on the school's mud- and bog-free parking lot.
People are encouraged to start gathering at the school around 6 p.m., with fun, food and entertainment scheduled to be on hand until 9 p.m. or so.
No galoshes required.
