Two prominent new hires -- music director Jaap van Zweden and president/CEO Doug Adams -- are starting their new jobs this week at the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Next week, they'll do a world premiere of August 4, 1964 which is expected to generate "national and international press", says the DMN, which also notes these other high-profile changes in Dallas' la-dee-da arts scene:

Alan says that van Zweden and his wife will reside at the Ritz.
