Went here for a birthday party, had a small private room with great service. They had coordinated appetizers with the couple that organized the event and had excellent sushi and dumpling type platters. Our main courses were very good and reasonably priced. Went by the patio upstairs which seems to have a fun scene, open air looking out over downtown.
Makes for a fun night out.

I haven’t been to Fuse in awhile. I had the filet of beef tenderloin and overall it was pretty tasty. If you’re into the whole TexAsian fusion scene, you’ll probably get a better feel or liking to this place then I did. Not that it’s bad, because it wasn’t.

I will say that I was not impressed with the waitstaff suggested Veraison Black Bart's Rose. I opted for the Bonny Doon Cardinal Zin and didn’t particularly find much to rave about it either.

They have (or at least used to, not sure if it’s still there) the big rooftop patio area. So if you’re in to the whole people-watching thing, there’s plenty of it to be had out there. But I’d say it’d be a fun place to hit up if you’d like to grab some food and be able to lounge around outside afterwards.

I really, really want to like Fuse. It's true. It's a better lounge than restaurant.

She and I went with the gay fabulous couple. Called for reservations and walked across the street. Were promptly seated on the main floor outside the bathroom and across from the kitchen. Promptly re-seated more comfortably in the half empty upper level.

Rushed into drinks, we settled on cocktails. Unfortunately, we had to re-organize since service wasn't able to keep orders assigned to person (use a mneomic!) on the too small tables.

"Tex-Asian?" Think edamame with chili spice. Now you've got it. An almost interesting concept in food lost in details. Overwhelming flavors cover dishes.

Dishes? Yes, too many, too large, no place for cutlery.

In conclusion? Abandon the food, have another martini and look fabulous.

Beer Tasting at Kindred Spirits "He must have been an admiral, a sultan, or a king, and to his praises we shall always sing. Look what he has done for us, he's filled us up with cheer! Lord bless Charlie Mops, the man who invented beer, beer, beer, tiddly beer, beer, beer..." I have my beer drinking song ready. Do you? More info
