West Fest Polka Festival Westfest kicks off the weekend Friday evening with the Miss Westfest Contest. Gates to the fairground (in West, Texas, south on I-35 just beyond Hillsboro) open at 5:30 p.m., and you can hang out touring the food booths until the 12:30 a.m. closing. If there was ever a place to do your "wurst," this is it. And don't forget kolaches for dessert. More info

I absolutely love this Houston's. Clientele tends to be from the HP/Uptown/etc area and you don't see many families eating here like the one in Addison.
For awhile I did some secret shopping for Houston's, so they definitely take pride in service and food prep.
One thing I like about Houston's is it's consistency. It's pretty rare that a dish is bad. Overall the food is moderately priced but you can do a couple hundred in damage if you drink at the bar, and have a bottle at dinner. A lot of my friends like their salad selection but be warned, these are not side dinner salads, they are pretty sizeable.
Decent overall wine selection, and I think they just added some wine cellaring units near the back of the restaurant not too too long ago.
They always have a couple of fish specials going, but my main player is the steak filet.. gotta love it!
I also have to admit to being a sucker for their shoestring-style french fries, nobody can eat just one! As far as appetizers, the garlic cheesy bread is actually pretty good. But most people (myself included) also love their spinach artichoke dip... definitely a good starter while you're having a drink at the bar.
As another person said, be prepared for at least a 45-60 minute wait. The Houston's in Addison was taking reservations last I checked, but this location does not.

The most consistent restaurant in Dallas. All scratch/fresh ingredients. Well researched recipes. Precision in service and not too expensive. It is also immaculate, even the garbage doesn't stink. Great bar/patio scene(Park Cities only). Rivals the "hot hot" new restaurants in Dallas.

A word of warning: If you get here at peak lunch or dinner time you're going to have a long wait, especially since they don't take reservations.
The food here is great! You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The salads are large and reasonably priced, and they're good too.
Good upscale chain restaurant that does its best not feel like a chain.
