I love this place. Don't let the shabby exterior fool you... or even the shabby interior. This place is for those who are looking for delicious authentic italian food. I highly recommend the eggplant parmesean.

Do you want an Italian, family-run place with charm, quaintness, cheap prices, good food and lots of parking? Then Pietro's is the place.
Pietro's has been open for "centuries" now, and is run by Pietro's son -- who must be in his 60s himself. A good friend tells the story of how he used to bag groceries for Pietro back in the 1960s when he did his daily shop for the place -- in the grocery store that is now the Hurricane Grill on Lower Greenville! That's history.
Fresh pasta and thick, hearty pizza are what bring us back. All dishes come with a decent minestrone soup or a salad. Go for the soup unless you like "heavy on the oil & vinegar!"
Pasta dishes are typical of northern Italy and the red sauce has a good bite to it. Pizzas have a good chew to the crsut and they are not shy with the ingrediants. I would avoid the veal parmiagiana, as it's pretty mundane and appears to be your typical, Sysco-supplied, cutlet with no character.
It's a charming place with good food, very reaonable prices and the owner is always ready with a smile when you arrive and when you leave.
